Here is an overview of the facilities and technical specifications available at Millfield Theatre. It is intended to assist visiting companies, producers and hirers in planning their production and understanding the capabilities of the venue.

While every effort has been made to ensure the information provided is accurate, technical specifications may be subject to change. We strongly recommend that visiting companies discuss their technical requirements with the theatre’s technical team at the earliest opportunity to ensure a safe and successful event.

  • Millfield Theatre does not stock nor provide any instruments or amps. Incoming companies are responsible for providing their own instruments.

     We Do however have a Grand Piano which is available for hiring. A piano tuner would need to be booked along with hiring the piano. (Millfield would book the tuner).

  • Our Projector is situated on FOH2 which is the best position to cover the whole back wall. We projector onto a white gauze on the upstage hemp bar backed by Black Starcloth.

Hirers should consult their hire packs for additional surcharges on some of the above. We cannot guarantee that all equipment will be in good working order and available for use at the time of your visit. Millfield Theatre is a no smoking building; we do not permit alcohol to be consumed backstage.
